A practical purchase, but one that raises real questions on day one
You have just received your Treelys foldable bathtub, or you are considering one. How do you install it correctly, and how do you maintain it so it lasts? Here are the practical answers.
Installation: a straight back and a stable tub
Positioning the stand
The removable stand can be attached in just a few steps. It lets you bathe your baby while standing, at waist height. Many traditional bathtubs require you to kneel, which can strain your back over time.
Check stability before every bath
Once the stand is assembled, make sure all four support points are firmly on the floor. The tub can be placed on and removed from the stand independently, which is useful for bathing your baby directly on the floor on some days.
The built-in thermometer
The digital thermometer means you do not have to test the water with your elbow. The recommended comfortable temperature for bathing an infant is around 37°C, close to body temperature.
Care: what really extends the product's lifespan
After every bath
Empty the tub using the 120 cm drainage hose rather than lifting it while full of water. Rinse it with clean water to prevent soap residue from dulling the material over time.
Once a week
Cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap is sufficient. Avoid abrasive or heavily scented products, which may irritate your baby's sensitive skin.
Folding and storage
Make sure the bathtub is completely dry before folding it. Once folded, it can be stored in ten seconds, which is useful for stays at the grandparents' house, as mentioned in our guide to traveling with a baby.
