Baby bathing, finally without compromise

No more hunching over the bathroom bathtub. No more searching for the thermometer. No more bathtub taking up half the hallway.

Meet the freestanding baby bathtub that brings together everything parents have been looking for: a spacious tub (85 cm—your baby can use it from birth up to 3 years old), a stable, foldable stand certified to EN 17072:2018 by Intertek, a waterproof IPX7-certified digital thermometer, a 120 cm drain hose for emptying the tub without bending over—and it all folds away in just a few seconds and fits in a cupboard.

  •
The exact temperature (because baby’s skin doesn’t tolerate guesswork): The digital thermometer displays the temperature to within 0.1°C. IPX7-certified (water resistance tested at a depth of 1 metre), it won’t fail when it comes into contact with water. You know precisely whether the water is at 37°C, not just “lukewarm.”
  •
A certified stand that stays put: The stand is EN 17072 certified (tested to support 70 kg). In practical terms: the feet don’t slip, the structure doesn’t wobble, and you don’t have to hold it with one hand while washing your baby with the other. You stay upright. Both hands are free. Bath time becomes the peaceful moment it should be.
  •
Empties and folds in 10 seconds. Stores in a cupboard. Goes away for the weekend in a bag. The Treelys folds flat without tools, effort, or instructions. Once folded, it takes up no more space than a cutting board. And when it’s time to drain the water, there’s no need to lift the bathtub: the 120 cm hose reaches the shower or sink drain directly. You don’t strain your back. The bathtub empties while you stay standing.

Treelys foldable baby bathtub on stand

Foldable Baby Bathtub on Stand with Support, Thermometer and Drain Hose

Features

Every detail matters. Especially for Baby.

Because bathing your baby should be a cherished memory, not a chore.

Baby bath time should be a gentle experience—for your baby and for you. Yet the reality of those first few weeks often tells a different story: a sore back from hunching over the sink or bathroom floor, the worry of getting the temperature wrong, a baby bath precariously balanced on the bathtub in the main bathroom, or simply a bulky item you no longer know where to store between baths.

Feedback from hundreds of parents points to the same frustrations: an unreliable thermometer, an unstable stand, a basin that becomes too short as soon as the baby grows a little, and the inability to drain it cleanly without lifting the whole thing.

Treelys is designed specifically to solve all four of these problems—not just one, not two: all four. Not through marketing promises, but through technical choices documented and tested by independent laboratories.

A tub designed to grow with your child from 0 to 36 months

From birth to 3 years old, your baby will triple in size. A bathtub that grows with them throughout this period needs to be sized accordingly.

The Treelys tub has an interior length of 85 cm—enough for your child to lie down comfortably at every age without ever feeling cramped. Because your baby's comfort in the water is also what makes bath time enjoyable for them, and therefore for you.

One purchase. Three years of worry-free use.

Baby safety deserves proof, not promises

When it comes to your child, trust isn’t declared—it’s documented.

EN 17072:2018-certified support

By Intertek, an ilac-MRA-accredited laboratory, with a static resistance test at 70 kg (§7.8.4). The full report is available upon request.

IPX7-certified thermometer

Water resistance tested at a depth of 1 meter by an accredited laboratory. During bathing, it is in the water—that’s precisely where its water resistance must be guaranteed.

Materials tested by Eurofins

Report dated April 28, 2026, confirming the absence of PAH contamination, in accordance with European Directive 2009/48/EC on toys and products that come into contact with children. All parameters are below the regulatory thresholds.

Designed for baby. Made for you, too.

Baby baths happen twice a day for three years. The little everyday comforts end up mattering a lot.

  1. The height-adjustable stand adapts to your body — whether you're tall or short, you can bathe your baby standing up, without bending over. What may seem insignificant during the first bath makes a real difference after three months of daily routine.
  2. The 120 cm drainage hose lets you empty the tub directly into the shower drain or onto the floor, without lifting the tub or getting wet. A detail especially appreciated by new mothers recovering from childbirth, or by anyone whose back deserves a little consideration.
  3. And when bath time is over, the bathtub folds up in seconds and disappears into a cupboard. It goes with you for weekends away, visits to the grandparents, and holidays. It adapts to your life — not the other way around.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it really safe for a newborn? Won’t the support tip over?

This is the central question, and it is a legitimate one.

The stability of the stand depends directly on its design and certification. The European standard EN 17072:2018 ("Child care articles – bath tubs, stands and non-standalone bathing aids") is the reference standard specifically governing this type of product: it tests the stand’s mechanical strength, the risks of entrapment, protruding edges, and the strength of the structure under load.

What this means in practice: if the product is certified to EN 17072 by an accredited laboratory (rather than based on a simple manufacturer’s declaration), the stand has been tested and validated to remain stable with a baby in it. If not, you have no documented guarantee of its strength.

Check that the stand has non-slip TPR or rubber feet, and never set it up on a wet or slippery floor. Start by filling the bathtub before placing the baby in it, so as not to unbalance the unit.

What is the right water temperature? How can I be sure I won’t burn my baby?

The temperature recommended by pediatricians and health authorities in France is 36 to 37 °C. Water above 38 °C may burn a baby’s delicate skin; below 35 °C, it can cause rapid chilling because babies are still unable to regulate their body temperature well. Avis Parents

The elbow or wrist method gives an approximate indication but is not reliable. A bath thermometer is still the only way to check the temperature accurately. Avis Parents

Beware of color-changing thermometers: they indicate a range, not a precise value. A digital thermometer, ideally IPX7-certified (waterproof when immersed), is more reliable. Always stir the water before measuring to ensure an even temperature.

From what age can it be used, and until when?

Almost all freestanding baby bathtubs on the market display “0 to 36 months” on their packaging. Be cautious about this indication: it is not always based on the actual dimensions of the tub.

An 18-month-old baby is approximately 80 cm tall. If the tub’s interior length is 60–65 cm (which is common), they can no longer lie down comfortably in it. Most tubs are realistically suitable for lying-down use until 12–18 months.

For newborns, an insert cushion or hammock is recommended to support babies who do not yet have the necessary muscle tone. Check that the product you choose includes or is compatible with this accessory.

Is my baby safe if I put them in the bathtub and turn away for one second?

No. This rule allows no exceptions, regardless of the product.

The bathtub is responsible for 15% of drownings among babies under 1 year old. From 2 months of age, babies can turn, move around, and tip over. You must never leave your child unattended in the bath, even when using safety accessories, and not even for a few seconds. 10 cm of water is enough for a baby to drown. Drownings

Do not answer the phone or go to open the door. Remember to prepare all the equipment you need in advance. AP-HM

The stand is an ergonomic tool, not a safety device. It saves you from bending over; it does not supervise your child.

Are the materials safe for my baby’s skin? No chemicals?

Quality bathtubs are made from food-grade PP (polypropylene) and TPR (thermoplastic elastomer), two materials recognized as safe, BPA-free, durable, and easy to disinfect.

What to look for on the product page: the BPA-free claim, CE compliance, and ideally RoHS certification (absence of hazardous substances). Some products have been tested in an accredited laboratory (such as Eurofins), verifying the absence of heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). If the seller can provide a test report, that is a strong indication of reliability.

Avoid products with no certifications displayed and no identifiable material origin.

Does it really take up very little space? Is it easy to fold up and store?

Current folding bathtubs fold flat in just a few seconds. When unfolded, they are typically 80–85 cm long; when folded, they are 4–6 cm thick. They fit behind a door, in a cupboard, or under a bed.

The stand itself folds into an X-shaped or accordion-style structure and can be stored upright against a wall.

Make sure the folding mechanism is locked when the bathtub is in the open position—this is an important safety point. Some models have an automatic stop, while others require a manual check before each use.

What stand height should I choose? Does my height matter?

Yes, and it is often underestimated. A support fixed at 84 cm can be perfect for a parent who is 1.75 m tall and uncomfortable (or dangerous due to being unbalanced) for a parent who is 1.58 m tall.

Height-adjustable supports (generally with 2 positions: ~90 and ~104 cm) are objectively more adaptable and reduce back strain, especially during daily baths in the first few months. If you and your co-parent have different body types, this is a criterion not to overlook.

The ideal height: when you stand upright in front of the set-up bathtub, your forearms should be slightly bent, not extended downward.

How can you empty the bathtub easily? Do you need to lift it?

This is the most frequently cited weakness in parent reviews. A full tub holds 8 to 12 liters of water, meaning 8–12 kg to lift if it does not have a drainage system.

Good products are equipped with a drain hose (ideally ≥ 120 cm long to reach the floor or shower drain without lifting the tub) or a bottom plug that allows the water to drain directly. Check the hose length: a 70 cm hose is often insufficient for common situations.

Is it compatible with my bathroom/shower?

Yes, in the vast majority of setups. This is precisely one of the advantages of the stand: it allows you to bathe your baby in the shower (for families without an adult bathtub), in the bathroom, or even in the kitchen.

Things to check before purchasing:

  • Available floor space (allow for approximately 60 x 90 cm minimum for the stand’s base)
  • Whether there is a water supply nearby (some models have a holder for attaching the showerhead)
  • If you live in an apartment: stability on tiled floors (non-slip feet are essential)
What maintenance is required? How can mold be prevented in the folds?

This is a real concern. The folds of a silicone or TPR folding bathtub can retain moisture if it is stored without being dried.

Best practice: after each bath, rinse the tub with clean water, unfold it, and let it air-dry before folding it back up and storing it. Regularly wiping it with a diluted white vinegar solution is sufficient to disinfect it without damaging the materials.

Avoid harsh household products (concentrated bleach, acetone), which can weaken TPR over time. If your bathtub develops persistent stains in the seals or folds after a few months, this is a sign of poor-quality materials.
