A practical purchase, but one that raises real questions on day one
You've just received your Treelys foldable bathtub, or you're considering it. How to install it correctly, and how to maintain it so it lasts? Here are the concrete answers.
Installation: straight back, stable tub
Positioning the stand
The removable stand can be attached in a few steps. It allows you to bathe your child while standing, at hip height. Many classic bathtubs require kneeling, which can be tiring for your back in the long run.
Check stability before each bath
Once the stand is assembled, make sure all four support points are firmly on the ground. The tub can be placed on and removed from the stand independently, which is useful for bathing directly on the floor on some days.
The integrated thermometer
The digital thermometer eliminates the need to test the water with your elbow. The recommended comfortable temperature for a newborn's bath is around 37°C, close to body temperature.
Maintenance: what really extends the product's lifespan
After each bath
Empty the tub via the 120 cm drainage hose rather than lifting it full of water. Rinse with clear water to avoid soap residue that dulls the material over time.
Once a week
Cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap is sufficient. Avoid abrasive or highly fragranced products, which can irritate your baby's sensitive skin.
Folding and storage
Make sure the bathtub is completely dry before folding it. When folded, it can be stored in ten seconds, useful for stays with grandparents, as mentioned in our guide to traveling with a baby.
